True's Yard Fisherfolk Museum in King's Lynn.
Now, this building is widely considered one of the most haunted buildings in the county, with reports of nearly 40 resident spirits.
Famous hauntings and encounters include the following:
An active poltergeist nicknamed Henry, who is purported to slam doors, knock paintings or falls, and toss office supplies like staplers across rooms. Henry, we've all been there. Local law suggests that Henry may have been a member of a Navy press gang, which force men into service by giving them the king's shilling.
Visitors and witnesses have also reported seeing the apparition of a young woman sitting in a chair in one of the 18th century cottage bedrooms, appearing with bulging red eyes and red marks on her throat, believed by local legend to be the spirit of a woman killed by her father for falling in love with the wrong man.
Others have reported seeing phantom children playing in the historic cottages. There's nothing scarier than phantom children. Mysterious shadows and dark figures staring out from the windows of empty rooms. Specific sightings include a ghostly little boy spotted in the kitchen area of the old cottages, a young girl seen roaming in cottage 6, and a tragic docker's son in the main museum gallery who appears to be looking for his father, unaware that he is no longer alive. Some of the child spirits in the yard are also known to play minor tricks on unsuspecting visitors.
Now, we've never been to True's Yard Fisher Folk Museum, have we? I don't think?
No, no, we haven't.
I think we've walked past. But it wasn't open that day
But it's definitely got to be on the list.
